Condo Kitchen Reno: In this project my client wanted to add more light in a small space kitchen. We opened up half of a non load bearing wall and created a ceiling bulk head with drop light pendants. We changed the old laminate flooring to hardwood, added custom cabinets, granite counter tops, beautiful backsplash and new appliances. Now he is able to enjoy the stunning view of the river and Parliament Hill from his kitchen. This project was one of many featured in the Ottawa Citizen.

Having a lighting plan developed is key to a successful renovation.

Kitchen Reno: We opened up a wall and added ceiling pot lights for extra lighting. Replacing old cabinets with custom cabinets. We re-positioned the sink and stove to create more space and adding cabinets panel doors to all the appliances. (See dishwasher on right hand side) We removed the hardwood floors and added 12" x 24" floor tiles and topped it off with a fresh wall colour.

By installing cabinets that go right up to the ceiling, it gives an impression of spaciousness in your kitchen.

Family Room: This project started with updating the fireplace. We added a beautiful stone and painting out the gold trim. We relocated the TV to the fireplace alcove, replaced the old leather furniture with a down filled sectional and updated the area rug with a luxurious shag.

Moving the T.V. to the existing alcove provided us with a clear line of sight from the kitchen.

Bathroom Reno: It was really important for my client to have a fabulous soaker tub, so that's that we gave her. We replaced the old vanity with custom cabinets and beautiful granite. We added extra ceiling pot lights on a dimmer switch, heated floors and a deep warm wall colour. To finish it off, we added a gorgeous piece of art for a little bit of drama.

By adding artwork in a bathroom it softens the space and adds drama.

Bathroom Reno: We replaced the vanity with custom cabinets with extra storage, and changed the laminate counters to granite. New facets and an under mount sink were added, along with a new mirror, light fixture with better lighting, accessories and a warm shade of green to brighten up the walls.

By adding a pocket door in tight spaces allows for easier traffic flow.

Creating an inviting kitchen eating area: For this client, we changed an old white window blind to a beautiful fabric on custom roman shades, added a new table and chairs, and artwork & accessories topped off with a calming grey shade for the wall colour.

Custom roman shades as an alternative to blinds is a fantastic idea!

Living Room: This project started with a clear vision of changing the look of the fireplace, and converting it to gas. With that in mind, we added beautiful cream marble tiles surrounding the fireplace, with a simple mantel. In the rest of the room, we replaced the sofa with a white leather sectional that added more seating for the family, two beautiful custom chairs, a warm shag area rug and chocolate silk drapes to pull the room together. The end result, a very happy family.

With a flick of a switch or a touch of a remote, converting an outdated brick wood burning fire place to a sophisticated gas fireplace, makes collecting wood and ash clean up a thing of the past.
